The power of concentration
Right thinking and right action go hand in hand. Surround yourself with people whose thoughts uplift and inspire you.
Train your mind to stay on one thing at a time. Hold your attention on a single thought until you achieve your aim. When working, keep your mind steadily on the task. Think before you speak, and let your conversation be clear and purposeful—avoid wandering or rushing. Speak calmly and with intention.
Choose books that explore one main subject and practice remembering the flow of ideas. Read slowly and with focus—connect with the author’s ideas so you understand not just the words, but the deeper meaning behind them.
Stay close to people who are consistent, patient, and disciplined in thought and action. Practice sitting still, holding your attention on one idea, and avoiding distractions.
The secret of achievement is concentration—the ability to direct all your power toward one point.
Whenever you feel tempted to act against your higher wisdom, remind yourself:
"My higher self guides me toward the actions that best align with my true path."
You have hidden abilities within you. If you develop and use them, they will benefit you and others. If neglected, you fail in your duty—to yourself and the world. When your thought-power awakens, you will understand how valuable these principles are in carrying out your plans.
You can choose to work with the greater plan of the universe and receive its rewards, or you can work against it and suffer the consequences. The purifying forces of life burn away all discord. If you oppose them, you will struggle. Learn to concentrate on living in harmony with your higher self.
Hold this thought:
"I live for my highest good. I seek wisdom, self-knowledge, happiness, and the power to help others. When I act from my higher self, only the best can come to me."
The more conscious you become of your higher self, the more you should strive to express your fullest, noblest nature
Study yourself. Know your strengths and make them stronger. Know your weaknesses and work to improve them. See yourself as you truly are.
When you understand your true self, you will not lose dignity or self-respect because others boast of material things.
When these are strong and developed, outer success naturally follows.
